Monsters [2010]
I liked this movie but the advertising and posters for it is misleading. It makes you think it’s about a monster outbreak or rampage with frenetic “move-or-die” plot, but it’s not. It’s kind of like a serious “road trip” movie that just happens to be in the context of “there are some alien monsters somewhere”.
To put it into a slightly more understandable comparison, it’s like if A.I. Artificial Intelligence was marketed as Terminator or if Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was marketed as Inception. It’s a bit logical in the way that it may (misleadingly) get people into the theater and hopefully they enjoy the curve ball but even if you’re pleasantly surprised, you still feel slightly cheated.

Too lazy to lean forward but not too lazy to build huge contraption.

-incompleteness:

Yesterday’s impulsive buy

It cost me quite a penny but oh the pretty! Trivia: the white lines around the edges are the light reflections of the plastic and not actually part of the art, they don’t look half bad with it though.
PS. I have about 40 posts for today so sorry for anyone who felt super spammed.
